Takes about three minutes. Keeping a valid card on file means invoices pay themselves.
Before you start!
Our customer portal does not keep any of your cardholder data on file aside from the last 4 digits (to identify which card you have on file) and the expiration date (so we can send an update reminder before your card expires). All other cardholder information is securely stored and managed by our credit card processor, Stripe.com.
Steps
- Sign in to our customer portal at https://noc.versaweb.com - you're probably already here.
- Open Settings from the account menu, then the credit card section.
- Click the option to add a new card.
- Enter the card number, expiry date, and billing details exactly as your bank has them.
- Save your changes.
- To use it for automatic payments, make the new card primary, and check the setting that allows us to charge your cards automatically.
- To remove an old or expired card, choose Delete next to it and confirm.
If it didn't work...
- Many banks and other card issuers have recently started restricting some types of online transactions, especially on debit cards. If the card you are trying to add is rejected, it's likely due to those policy changes. Customers who have hit that speed bump have generally been able to resolve it with a one-time call to their financial institution.
- Card was declined or has expired? An expired card is removed from your account. Add a current card as above, or pay the open invoice another way (see "How do I pay an invoice").
- Charge failed email but the card looks right? Open a ticket with the invoice number. Don't send card numbers in a ticket.
- Billing staff reply Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific.
