Takes about five minutes, and it's the best protection your account can get. Passwords are nice. Passwords plus a code are nicer.
Steps
Install an authenticator app on your phone. Which methods the portal offers is not shown in our templates, so check what the Security page lists for your account.
- Sign in at https://noc.versaweb.com.
- In the left-hand menu, click Security.
- Find the two-factor (MFA) section. It tells you whether it's configured or not.
- Click the button to activate it.
- Follow the on-screen prompt to link your authenticator app, by scanning the code or entering the key shown.
- Enter the code your app displays to confirm.
- Save any backup or recovery codes the page gives you somewhere safe, away from your phone.
To turn it off
- Open Security again.
- Click the deactivate option and enter your password if asked.
If it didn't work
- Code rejected? Check that your phone's clock is set automatically. Authenticator codes depend on the time.
- Lost your phone? Use a recovery code if you saved one. If not, open a ticket from another contact on the account or write to us from the address on file. We'll verify your identity before changing anything.
